Finished in "smoke silver" metallic over "siena" interior, this lovely last year example of the W123 chassis is in immaculate condition throughout. Just acquired from the first "mature" owner, this rust-free California bay area car is quite an exceptional find for the Mercedes Benz admirer. It features the turbocharged inline five cylinder engine mated to the 4 speed automatic transmission. It has the original Becker am/fm/cassette stereo, electric windows and sunroof, factory alloy wheels with excellent Michelin tires, factory a/c and cruise control. This car received a high-quality factory original repaint a few years back. The chrome and trim are in excellent condotion overall. There are a couple of expected blemishes and rick nicks on the front edge of the car. THE INTERIOR________________________________________________________________________ Inside of this non-smoker car is VERY good to excellent overall. The MB Tex upholstery is bone stock original and only VERY slightly worn. The dash is near flawless as are the headliner, door panels, wood trim and conrols. Weak points include a broken driver side sun visor and cracking on the top of the center arm rest. Otherwise this interior is extremely well kept. THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE_________________________________________________________________ This classic Benz drives beautifully down the road with a very supple and smooth suspension free of any clunks or rattles. The turbodiesel engine has the power it should [it cruises at over 80], the brakes are smooth and confidence-inspiring, the exhaust is quiet, the transmission up and downshifts well and crisply.
