It's a 2-owner original condition truck, aptly equipped for the job, runs and drives DARN well for having mileage. It has newer tires, has seen recent services, nice and dry underneath, clean inside and out, and it's all packed with the bulletproof 7.3 motor and hard to find 6-speed standard! There are very few of these around and even less that aren't just beat to pieces. This is the right one at the right price. exterior The paint and body on this truck are in very nice condition for a work vehicle. It's not new or perfect, but it's quite presentable for work, and you certainly wouldn't guess the mileage at a glance. It looks original, no signs of any repaint or body work and the history reports read clean, no accidents. The paint has nice gloss, no noticeable damage, or bubbly body rust. The truck is from southern Wyoming and they don't really use road salt. I've included photos of the undercarriage, you can see it's dusty, but no wet leaks, and no rust at all. An 11 year old utility truck from any salt state would be destroyed by now. The wheel covers are new, tires are almost new too. They have super deep mean tread. Consequently they're a bit noisy on the freeway, but not like mudders and not bad. The front bumper is nice and straight, and the windshield is brand new. The box is in good shape, has normal dings and lots of rock chips. We touched up around the handles and box front just to keep things from rusting if it goes out of state. The doors all open and close well and look reasonably clean inside. The truck does have a trailer ball at the rear, with 7 prong harness and wiring as well. This guy does have the heavy towing package. The truck some use wear, it's seen some dirt roads so the rockers are chipped up. It has a few small nicks and scratches, but does not look like a conventional 200k+ utility 4x4. Someone loved the truck, that's obvious. interior The interior is remarkably clean as well. There's room for the dogs/kiddies in back, but no seats. This guy was strictly used for work. It's simple inside with little to break, but it does have tilt, cruise, and a/c. Yes, they work. The vinyl is all in good condition, doors open and close easily, just a bit of normal aging, really nice inside. And, no, it doesn't smell like smoke. mechanical Someone loved the truck and serviced the heck out of it. I don't remember the last time I saw a 237k mile diesel that was this dry underneath. It came in looking and running very well, fires up nice and easy and glow plugs work perfect. It puffs a bit of normal white smoke the first minute or two which should be a given. It's not a 'bug killer'. :) The truck drives nice and straight, steering is fairly tight, doesn't wander all over like a lot of 1-tons with mileage do. The clutch has very good life left, probably done once at least. The brakes have over 50% pad life remaining, t-case/diff fluids look pretty clean and full. 4x4 works fine. It's really just darn clean all things considered. It's not new or perfect, still an older truck with a few miles, but there's no reason you can't ride her right to a 1/2 million with proper care.
