2004 VW Touareg V10 Turbo Diesel TDI I have to start by saying this truck looks gorgeous and it drives like a dream. This truck is accident free, clean title and clean history. If you are looking and reading into this ad then I can pretty much assume that you know what you are looking at and looking for. What you have is one of the best diesel motors ever built and VW discontinued building this V10 motor because it did not make any financial sense as the V10 motors where too expensive to build. This truck starts and runs like day one and pulls like a freight train. This is the same famous truck that did the incredible task of pulling a Boeing 747 (look it up on youtube under Touareg 747). I have just recently bought into a 2011 Porsche Cayenne S and for that I am selling this baby or I would never ever get rid of this. I can guarantee you that the 2011 Porsche Cayenne S does not hold a candle against this 2004 VW V10 in a drag race even though it has 400hp. Trust me on that one. Most people who has a V10 never gets rid of them unless they are trading up to a newer year model, one of the most loyal truck owners I have met. This truck looks minty with not one single panel ever repainted, I have paint meter to guarantee that there is no paint work. The interior is clean enough to be a truck with 1/3 the miles, most of my friends thinks the truck is new. Whoever buys this truck will not be disappointed and you will be hard pressed to find another one with clean history, clean car fax, clean title, clean interior with excellent leather interior, clean exterior and perfect running truck for what I am asking for this. If you need to know the spec for this car, you can easily google it but I just know it has 553 lb-ft of torque, the only number I need to know and need to care. The ride on this truck with the air suspension is sublime and this truck is actually quieter than my wifey's BMW wagon. For those who cares, this TDI does include every option available for this truck for 2004. Navigation, all time 4x4 with low range torque multiplier, keyless entry and convenience ( you don't need to take your keys out of pocket to open your doors), Bi-xenon headlights, air suspension, rear door sunscreen, 4 zone climate control, heated seats for all passengers, sunroof, locking differentials and so on and on and on. Oh I almost forgot, I also care that I get almost 25 MPG on the highway with this torque monster =). Everything is original stock and nothing aftermarket. It recently received new vented and drilled brake rotors and pads. Truck is been driven and there will a some more miles from the advertised ad however these drivetrain can run well into the 300k + miles and more. It does not leak or have any issues. Navigation is CD based and works perfectly. There is no towing package however you can add 1 very easily. This is a good thing since this truck was never used as a tow truck and had a rather easy life. I currently have a set of 5 spoke 18" wheels on it instead of the 6 spokes. One more interesting fact: In 1st gear of the Tiptronic, with the transmission set to low-range, the V-10 TDI Touareg produces 27,836 pound feet of torque at the wheels. This will pull practically anything hence the 747 jet. There is a clerical mistake from the auction with mileage discrepancy. This is been fixed with autocheck as we speak.
