Here's your chance to buy this truck and fix it up or part it out if you have the time. I know the bed alone should sell for around $1500, new front all terrain tires on rims prolly around 75 each, good running 460 engine probably around 300-500 pulled out. fuel tanks probably sell around 100 each with the fuel pumps and sending units in them and aluminum running boards probably around 75 for the pair...There is your money back already and we didnt even sell the doors, cab, (which are both virtually rust free) steering column, rear tires, reese class 3 hitch or any electronics This is a 1996 Ford F250 xlt with extended cab It has a 460 engine and automatic overdrive transmission. It has around 180,000 miles and runs good. I use it for a business that i own. It has a hitch along with trailer towing package and brake system. the transmission went, leaving it on the side of the road and i had it towed to solon transmission who removed the transmission and completely disassembled it. they showed me what happened and recommend a complete rebuild at a cost of about $1600 I decided to move on and bought a 2005 silverado 2500Hd We have been buying chevys lately and this was one of our last fords. I also have our other last one for sale here on ebay. It runs great and has been maintained well. Over the past year it has had all new somewhat aggressive tires put on all the way around, new brakes, new rear leaf spring shackles, brake lines and an alignment. The 6X8 aluminum bed on it was put on in 2001 and was purchased new at that time for 5 grand including installation.. it is the main value in this deal and can be removed and put on any year of 3/4 ton or bigger pickup with very little work. It has removeable sides. it is wired to plug in to any ford 3/4 or 1 ton between 1988 and 1999 Im sure it can fit others with an adapter. the truck was not driven or used for our business in the winter so it is pretty rust free and just now has a couple small spots of rust starting on the bottom of the cab. It is the xlt which is fully loaded and it has ice cold fully functional air conditioning which my workers very much have appreciated over the years. the drivers side window needs a window regulator and fell down in the door it can be put up permanently with little effort. it has keyless entry and an alarm which works. you dont have to have the transmission rebuilt at solon trans i can have them put all the pieces in a crate and you can do what you wish with them but if you choose to im sure they can have you on the road in very little time.
