Mercedes-Benz 450SL Roadster This 1979 Benz roadster comes complete with the removable hardtop and the full cloth top. It was in storage for a protracted number of years when we got it - we replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, oil change, etc. and now its one sweet driver. Starts, runs and drives very well. Several of us have taken it on short trips this summer and enjoyed it fully. Its a real gentleman. Nice car. The list of whats right with it is many: including fantastic tires, the interior (good), the paint (good original paint), the engine (strong), the transmission (strong) and more. Heater controls and fan work, cruise control works, odometer and trip odometer works, electric windows work, etc. The headliner for the removable hardtop is flawless, and the cloth top looks new. No tears or broken stitching. I dont think it has ever been used. The list of whats wrong with it is short: a little rust in the corners of the trunk and below the front bumper, one of the two sun visors is torn, the radio does not work, the AC does not work. There is one tear in the drivers seat bolster (like almost all cars this age). The exhaust has just started leaking and is rusty.
