Vehicle Detail
1973 Buick Riviera This nice "Boat-tail" is in mostly Original Condition. A Southern California since 1981 that has been garaged most of it's life and still looks presentable and runs strong! The Interior is all original except the carpet. Both armrests on the door panels are needing repair. The seats, dash, and headliner are all nice - the dash is without a crack (this one stayed in the garage!). The trunk is complete and original, the original paint under the lid is very nice! The body is good but with some minor dents, however with no signs of any major accident damage or repair. The paint is thin in spots and partly original. The paint on the hood has the least shine. And overall there are quite a few imperfections of course after all these years. The body and chassis are rust free except one small area in the front dogleg of the right rear wheel. The floors and trunk are clean underneath and show very nicely. There has NEVER been rust repair on this car. The engine compartment is super clean and all original too, an indication of the good maintenance and accident free status. The engine is the original 455 V8 that was recently rebuilt. The car starts easily and runs strong, recently serviced including a new fan clutch, belts and hoses. The transmission shifts smoothly, but does have a slight leak that lessens the more the car is driven (dry seals). There are many receipts since the second owner purchased the car in 1981. Also the owners manual and the previous title from the Doctor who was the first owner of the car. This Buick Riviera is simply an honest car, not a mint original but way above average for these models I have seen un-restored. The car shows you exactly what it is, both the strong and weak points. A great candidate for a high quality restoration or custom, or a fairly presentable daily driver - the choice is yours! Thanks for looking. This is a very good car overall, local inspections are welcomed. I also have around 100 detailed photos posted on the web, just email for the link or with any questions. Payment and Shipping I have tried to describe this Riviera with as many details as possible in the space permitted. There are nearly 100 detailed photos posted on the web, just email me for the link or with any questions. It is not a restored or brand new car and thus may have imperfections and faults that I am not aware of or that are not clearly shown in the photos. I always encourage personal inspection prior to the auction close, and am available on short notice as well. However, remember that the winning bid IS the winning bid, regardless of inspection status or results. I can provide both local and International references if you wish. I have sold many older, collector cars over the past 25 years and have received nothing but perfect feedback --- so you can BID WITH CONFIDENCE! Please, bid on this car only if you are serious about owning it and have the funds available. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due on completion of the auction, and the remaining balance is due in full within 7 days of the end of the auction. The car comes with current regsitration and a California Certificate of Title. The vehicle is sold "as is, where is," with no warranty. Transportation is the responsibility of the new owner. Seller reserves the right to end the auction at any time. After the auction has ended, the sale price is final. I have experience and references with International buyers and shipping. Thank you and good luck! templette
