This auction is for a 1998 Ford Econoline E-250. This vehicle needs some work. It starts right up and idles great but there is a loud knocking noise. At first I thought it was an engine knock but now I'm not too sure if the noise is coming from the engine or the transmission. Either way, the vehicle will need to be towed. It has many new parts that have less than 10 miles on them. New front brake pads & rotors, new inner & outer wheel bearings, all new hard brake lines from the master cylinder to the rear brakes, new air filter, new oil filter and oil. I have also repaired the rear door handle and lock mechanism so that it locks, unlocks and opens from the outside and the inside. The sliding side door only opens from the inside, but is easily reachable by opening the passenger door. I also replaced the turn signal/hazard stalk as they did not work when I got the van. All lighting is in operating order. The AC, heat and radio work great. The passenger seat is in good shape but the drivers side seat cushion was destroyed and there is a comforter in place of the cushion as a temporary fix. There are a few rust spots on the edges of the rear wheel openings, the rain gutters and the rear passenger corner floor. There are a few dents low on the sliding door. I gave the interior a thorough cleaning and replaced some worn items. The battery appears to be newer and the van has given my no trouble starting even after sitting for a while. There is a crack on the top of the radiator that was repaired with JBweld. The vehicle was driven at operating temp and the repair held up fine.
