FOR SALE 1974 Volkswagon RAT ROD Im selling my classic Volkswagon that has been customized to a RAT ROD. THIS THING is awesome cheap to maintain, excellent gas mileage 35+ and reliable. Car has a recently rebuilt 1600cc engine in which a SCAT stage 1 cam was added, the carb was rebuilt, new fuel pump, generator and chrome cooling shroud was added, also empi ceramic coated stinger exhaust system(Sounds excellent) The motor has about only 5000 miles due to it was owned by a elderly couple that drove it only to car shows over 5 years after being rebuilt. Tires have been on car for about 6 years and have low wear on rears but fronts show wear due to needs alignment, also im including a set of drop spindles with auction. MOON rims are in excellent shape, Whitewalls are actually fake and are slipped on bead of rims when assembled but look excellent. Seats were recovered, head liner replaced new door panels and carpet were also added when redone,the headliner recently came outta rear rubber window seal on drivers side about 4-5 inches but should be easy reinstalled. the Speedo works but odometer doesnt, This thing i was told also had the trany pulled and checked and all seals replaced, no leaks from trans. and at this time a new clutch was also included. Ie had this car for about a year and only drove it a bout 10 times less than 50 miles each time just to keep the battery charged and engine running good. Paint is about 6 years old with 2 paint chips near hood near handle and there is also some bubbles in the paint behind the rear windows(PICTURED) Car runs excellent cranks up every time doesnt smoke and never had a single issue with, ask any questions and ill try to respond rapidly. I absolutly love this car and i get comments and looks everywhere i go, and its a blast to drive.
