1975 Mercedes Benz 450sl. Nice decent driver. Mileage is unknown-odometer quit working- assuming 160K. Car needs paint. Runs and drives fine-Just rolled up the interstate at 80mph-ran great-no shakes of weirdness. I bought this car as a winter project but my kids have been fighting over who gets to go with Dad all the time. This car should be considered a fixer upper but can still be driven while work is being done. Has new battery and a fresh oil change. Has some rust in the floorpans but nothing that can't be easily patched. Engine starts right up and runs fine. All the electrical works fine but the turn signals need addressed. Might need a flasher. Transmission shifts fine. Climate control in the car does not work. Car has an aluminum hood and euro headlights. Car also has and aftermarket electromotive ignition system in it.Comes with hardtop as well. The hardtop is green and the headliner in the hardtop is a lighter shade than the interior in the car. If you are a local buyer you are more than welcome to have the other set of wheels. If this car gets shipped, the other wheels will not fit in the car, I will not ship seperately. I thought that Mercedes use a 5 digit odometer with a tenth counter. My one friend says that they used a 6 digit total odometer. This is the first Benz I've ever owned so I don't know. Anyhow the odometer in the car reads 603128 and does not work. If this means the car has this many miles on it then I'm only gonna buy Mercedes from now on. I jut had the car out again on this 75 degree day with the top down and it ran great. Car is sold completely AS IS. Also figured out this car was originally tan. Whoever did the color change did an awesome job because it really took awhile to figure that out. If you live locally please feel free to come drive the car. Please ask questions.
