My son bought this on eBay for $7300 thinking he would turn it into a 1966 batmobile. He soon realized building a batmobile was much more work involved and needed then he could do. He is in the Navy and with little time home during the year, he concluded that he simply did not have the time. There is no reserve. First and foremost I need to be up front and say there is a bunch of rust and repairs that have been done. Although it did run, I cannot get it to run now. But I am not a mechanic nor did I take it to a mechanic and may need considerable work but I am not asking $25,000 which a perfect car may fetch. I did not clean, detail or doctor up the car to make it look good or better. The original fender skirts and hubcaps are included and pictured separately. They were taken off car to avoid theft. I have no idea how many miles are actually on it. Other than that, that's all I know about the car so here is the description written by previous seller who has 100% feedback: 1966 Ford Thunderbird convertible(last and best of the jetbird styles convertibles). White interior needs cleaning with no rips or tares. New carpet and existing interior reinstalled when interior had been taken out for floor pans were repaired to solid condition. Trunk pan and wheel wells look good. One rear armrest has been replaced. Two pieces of console trim are missing. Power seat works well but needs screw on center lever. Master switch did not operate windows, fuse box needs cleaning, so with door panels off, all window motors were tested with power to plugs and 3 of them worked and spare master switch comes along with spare rear motor and regulator for non functioning rear motor. The convertible top frame has no cloth. The convertible top pump motor and deck flap pump motor is replaced needs to be installed. Radio works with new antenna wire. Tranny works forward and reverse and the breaks are good. Has new matching set of radial tiers as well as a original spare tire. New tune up parts, hoses, belts and starter were installed. I consider the paint to be amateur on a straight body. The paint is chipped, thin in places and faded. The car comes with a lot of extra old parts and all of the original Ford manuals for body, mechanical, electrical, convertible top, etc... The buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping. Payment required to be made in 7 days. This is priced to sell. I reserve the right to end auction early because it is advertised locally. Do not wait till the end to bid on this car. Someone will use the buy it now because they want a decent restoration and recognize a deal priced fairly below market value. I have represented this car in a negative manner just so you understand this is not a perfect car. But again, I am not asking 25K. Please ask questions.
