I am selling this vehicle for my husband, he is downsizing his collection of cars...This is a 1955 GMC 1/2 ton long bed pickup truck with the Big Back Window. to the best of his knowledge it is mostly original. The side windows have been converted to one-piece windows. no vent wings...Clean but unrestored original bed and cab with a straight 6 GMC engine and Hydramatic transmission. Both of which were completely rebuilt 2 years ago.. the extrerior is in very good condition with a few chips on the paint and light rust spots in the usual areas. the outside paint is metal flake Orange and the interior is metal flake White. some under the hood parts have been powder coated. We have had the starter and flywheel replaced but it still does a grinding noise occassionally when its started up. Runs excellent with original gearing . Has a top speed of 55 to 60 MPH.Full conversion to 12 volt not completed. the gas gauge does not work.
