Finished in gleaming "Shwarz" black over original black leather hides, this rust-free California example has been driven only 5,000 miles per year since new. This is a nice original unmolested example sporting the 3.3 liter 182 horsepower inline six cylinder engine mated to a smooth shifting 5 speed stick shift. It has air conditioning [and great heat too], manual adjustable leather seats, electric windows and sunroof, cruise conrol, factory am/fm/cassette, on-board computer, original TRX tires and wheels and more. The all or mostly original paint has a nice deep lustrous shine to it. There are a couple of blemishes like a small nicked/dented spot on the right front fender [barely noticable], the right from bumper rubber is popped up slightly. The aluminum bumper sections have some scratching. The trim is all nice and original. THE INTERIOR. Inside of this non-smoker car is VERY good overall. The leather looks original and only slightly worn. The headliner, door panels and carpets of this car are in excellent condition. The vinyl dash board has onyl one slight crack at the top. All the controls and gauges work as they should, the air blows cold and the heat is excellent. The 26 year-old factory stereo is dicey with lots of static when hitting bumps though the speakers are good. THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE This classic Bimmer drives beautifully down the road with a very supple and smooth suspension. I had it nipping triple digits on highway 280 free of any clunks, pulls, shimmies or rattles. The transmission and cutch engagement are smooth and the braking is strong and secure with confident pedal feel. The inline six cylinder engine pulls well though is slightly noisy in the valvetrain due to worn camshaft.
