Vehicle Detail
This is an 1985 Monte SS that has been customized and restored. It has a 68 327 motor that has been bored 30 over. 268 RV cam, headers, MT valve covers, Eldelbrock intake and carb. Factory overdrive transmission with shift kit, Factory 373 rear end. It does have newer turbo mufflers and tail pipes. The body was DA stripped to bare metal. The 1985 doors were replaced with a set of RUST FREE 88 SS doors. Rust was removed and panels welded in at the inner rear wheel wells, 2 small spots in the trunk, the rear part of the rear quarters too. 1987 rear bumper, rear spoiler and tail lights replace the factory 85 units.( I like the look much better.) 1980 Z-28 fender louvers were cut into the front fenders and a STEEL Goodmark cowl hood was installed. There is also a custom grill. The body is finished in Dupont 2010 GM bright Silver and a " fade " of 2010 code 21U Blue Violet pearl was spayed to give the illusion that you just drove through a mist of Blue Violet. Several coats of clear. There are 3 color Candy tribal graphics on the hood and trunk lid. It has been blocked and buffed and looks great. The paint is less than 30 days old. All the Black trim pieces have been repainted with the correct Satin Black including the wiper arms and cowl panel. All the weather stripping on the doors and door jambs have been replaced with new Sofftseal brand weatherstrips. It has 16" Eagle Alloy wheels with new General Low Pro directional tires.(less than 500 miles) The factory bucket seat interior is in very good condition. The seats are not ripped up. It had the carpet replaced about a year ago and the headliner is brand new. Stereo with C/D player and Alpine speakers. The trunk has been undercoated and has new carpet too. This car runs, drives and shifts great. It will snap your neck. There are no funny smells or stains on the inside. The exterior of the car is very straight and it really makes people look. I have over 10,000.00 tied up in this car. I borrowed money to get it finished and I'm now out of work so it must be sold. Sorry... I'm not interested in trades of any kinds. I have bills that are starting to stack up. I will not give the car away. If it doesn't sell here. I will put it on consignment at Fast Lane Cars. Or Gateway Classic Auto sales in the St. Louis area, I will NOT be accepting any 0 feedback bidders from this point forward. If you do bid, I will cancel your bid and block you from my auction. You will also have to have a PayPal account to bid. Sorry.. but, I've been screwed before and this auction costs money. If you are a serious bidder this won't effect you at all. As always, the car will not leave my garage until it is paid in full and the funds have cleared my bank. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. This car is for sale in many markets and it will be sold if the right offer is made. Thanks for looking. On Oct-12-10 at 22:51:32 PDT, seller added the following information:
