I'm selling a 1973 Dodge Challenger with 15,000 original miles. The car has been off the road since 1977 and has a 1978 inspection sticker. I puchaced this car from the original owner who supplied me with the title from 1973. Unfortunately, I mis-placed that title, but I am in the process of getting another, and will have the new title in about 60 days. It has the original 340 and 4 speed trans with a pistol grip shifter. The car will need total restoration. The hood, front fenders, radiator support, front K frame, trunk floor and front floors will need rust repair. The frame rails are solid as well as the rear floors. The interior panels are in good condition with only some discoloration. The seat padding is as you would expect from a car with so little miles but the front covers have cracks from drying. I have not tried to start the original 340 but it turns over easily. The transmission goes through the gears easily. The tires are the original goodyear polyglas, but are of course dry rotted. I took out the back seat and found the original broadcast sheet and although I have not decoded it, I can supply all information to potential bidders. These cars are getting very hard to find and I wonder how many original low mileage 340 4 speed Challengers are left. Please bid only if you intend to buy and have the funds ready as I do need to sell this car to pay some bills. The car is sitting low in the front because the torsion bars are broken. The break is actually in the bars, not in the mounts. The passenger side window is missing and the ignition cylinder was taken out due to the key being lost some years ago.
