Vehicle Detail
I have put a lot of money and time into this car. I can tell you its worth more than 1,000 easy but I am in need of cash. I am not putting a reserve on the car because I want it gone! its got 167,741 miles. I have the paperwork of all the shop work done on the car since I bought it in July of 2008. This included the clutch work, brake pads, and a couple other repairs. the good: AWD (all wheel drive) makes for a very safe ride new clutch installed in shop less than 5000 miles ago roof rack for bikes or luggage working tape/cd/radio with 6 speakers all works good working a/c nice and cold! new front brake pads installed in shop less than 8,000 miles ago overall exterior has a few scrathes on top, but the overall exterior and paint look good for how old the car is. interior leather is not cracked they're are a few not very visable stains on some of the non-leather parts. power windows and power locks all work great.3 tires are holding air and are in good shape. the other has a slow leak and may need to be replaced. none of the tires are dry rotted. the bad: I can start the car but if I take my foot off the gas it dies. I checked the fuel pump by taking it out and testing it on a battery. it ran fine. so i re-installed and I heard it running. there is now a ripped fuel line cause it ripped when I took it out. so that needs to be replaced. I think they're must be a clog somewhere in the fuel line to the engine thats preventing the engine from idling. I simply don't have the time to check all the lines to find the clog.no more 4th gear on the clutch. not sure might just need to have clutch pins reset? i think that's why its slipped out. Like I said the clutch was professionally installed and I only drove the car a couple thousand miles more and then I could've shift into 4th gear. The car has not be driven much since this problem. a lot of rust issues when dealing with swapping parts on the bottom of the car. this is a Yankee car and spent most of its life in New England where salt is used on the roads. While this car was still going on trips I would notice the engine liked to burn oil over long distances. I would top off with 1 quart about every thousand miles and that seemed to do fine. It seems rather normal in cars with an engine with over 150k miles to like to burn oil.
