Vehicle Detail

THIS VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD AS IS, WITH NO RESERVE. WHY? I am an attorney who is selling this vehicle for my client, who is now incarcerated and will remain incarcerated for a very long period of time. Since he will be in jail for many, many years, he asked me to sell this car, and I have a power of attorney to sign the title and transfer this vehicle to the buyer. This vehicle was returned from police impound after his arrest and detention, and sat for about 6 months. After giving it a jump, it has started very well ever since. I have driven the vehicle some to take it to get cleaned up. In that short time, here is what I've found: The vehicle looks pretty nice, with pretty good paint and shine. It has Kumho 275/45 R20 tires with nice looking wheels that measure 21 1/2" across. My client said these cost him over $2,000 alone, and are in excellent condition, but I have no proof of what they cost, and I know very little about tires or rims. The vehicle has high miles, almost 178,000, but there are no engine lights showing, and it starts right up and runs very nice. I was surprised how nice the engine seemed to run and drive, and the transmission did not slip at all and was very responsive. Brakes seem to work well, but I never had anything mechanically checked on it. It has a pretty good looking cloth interior - in fact, considering its age and mileage, it looks very good.. The radio is a Pioneer, and it looks like the front flips down to slide in a CD. It plays nice. It has power locks and power windows. Overall, it looks like it was kept up very nice for a car of its age. As for the negative things, the first thing I noticed when driving over 50 mph was a shimmy. It may be due to the large tires, or maybe it needs an alignment, but it did start to shimmy at that speed a couple of times. Next, there is a dent in the very rear hatchback door. Some of the rear trim looks to be hanging a bit low. Also, on the inside of both rear passenger doors, the sides are peeling away from the door beneath the windows. I was going to glue it with liquid nails, but decided not to so that the new owner could see it and glue or fix it as he/she desires. Last, when I received this vehicle from impound, some McDonald's food had been left in it, and it smelled real bad after sitting in the heat all Summer. After having it cleaned, it smelled better, but I can still detect a bit of an odor it could still use a carpet shampoo to make it smell fresh. The center console armrest lid/cover seems a bit loose, but it functions. One of the small hubcap like covers on the left front wheel needs to be screwed on. I AM AN ATTORNEY, NOT A CAR SALESMAN, SO THE SALE IS "AS IS", WITH NO WARRANTIES. There it is. I've tried to be as honest as I can in my description. It looks to be a 4.0 Liter, Automatic. Payment in cash or paypal only, and you must pick up.
