This auction is for an all original (parts matching) 1974 MG Midget in Good to Very Good condition with only 33,375 original miles. It has the fancy spoke wheels with center knock-off hubs. It starts and runs great and is lots of fun to drive. Our mechanic checked it out as well. We originally purchased the MG (in 2005 for $3500.00) to tow behind our new motorhome. The motorhome was a dud and was returned to the manufacturer under the Lemon Law. We proceeded to tear the Midget apart down to the frame to make it perfect. Needless to say, we have not put many miles on it since we got it, but we finally got it back together recently and it is ready to roll. The first photo shows the Midget in 2005. The other photos were taken on October 8, 2010. The interior is all in good condition--no tears or holes in the seats, etc., carpeting is new. We pressure washed the engine and spot-primed some spots on the body that needed attention. It is ready for a new paint job, although the old paint is very good--nice and shiney. The tires have a lot of tread left on them and have no dry-rot. We installed the following new parts: Front Disc Brakes Front Ball Joints Distributor Cap, Points, Plugs Ignition and keys Stainless steel muffler and tailpipe Hoses and gaskets Carpeting We can't afford the paint job right now, so someone is going to get a real good deal on this neat little car.
