1953 Ford Sunliner Convertible We were given this information from a Ford Enthusiast: "You have a very rare and desirable car. The Color code SS and Trim code SS indicated special color and trim, which was the same codes used for a limited number of Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Replicas. To celebrate Ford's 50th Anniversary, a Sunliner convertible was chosen to pace the race and a limited number of replicas were built. This car probably had a special gold and white leather interior and a Coronado deck on the rear. It was built during the right time period, April 16, 1953. Feel free to contact me if you wish. Body is nice and very straight down the sides. The top is good and goes up and down just as you would want it to. Car is ready to be used, driven and enjoyed. This is a number matching car with a heart of gold. The original flathead was gone through and it start and drives GREAT. A couple pictures that were taken inside show spots on floor-those spots are not from this car. There are no leaks. Bottom of car was finished out in black, The body is excellent-was restored with original lincoln ford color-factory pearl white paint. Tires were replaced. The wheels and hub caps are very nice as is all the stainless steel. Pictures show the interior was tastefully done. We have a friend here in town who is a professional shipper. He will set this car in your driveway / call for price/ The skirts and continental kit really set this classic off. Try to come to Lawrenceburg Indiana for a test drive. If not call for information.
