It was driven by an older gentleman that has been driving exclusively Astro vans since 1985. Yes, he traded this one in on another one. :) The van is in presentable condition. It's reliable, affordable, and not a lot of money. It'll do well in the snow, and should have a long haul yet to go. exterior The paint and body on this van are pretty fair. It's not going to win any awards, but it's nothing to be ashamed of. It looks original, no signs of any previous paint or accidents. The body is fairly straight overall, just 1 dent in the lower front bumper and a rust spot on the right rear rocker by the fender. The wheels have been repainted and look fine. The tires have good tread all the way around. The windshield is good, no cracks or bad chips. The van has its' fair share of nicks, chips, scratches and marks. The photos document everything well. It's fine for the age and mileage. interior The interior is about the same. It has been smoked in and has burns in the carpet. There's no rips in the upholstery and it's not all burn up. The electronics all work except the air conditioning which needs a replacement compressor. They're not very expensive, can be bought all over the country for $40 used on car-part.com, and they're not too much work to install. The stereo sounds nice, power accessories work. The drivers arm rest is cracked like every other one you see. It has a few other marks and worn items inside, just normal stuff. mechanical This Astro runs out very well. It was daily transportation for an avid Astro driver and he took good mechanical care of it. The van fires right up, idles smooth, no check engine light. It drives straight, shifts perfect, fluids clean and full, oil and filter new, and it has brand new brake pads at all 4 corners. There's no wet leaks, but it has some normal crusty seepage underneath. These vans are extremely durable. We regularly see them with well over 200k running fine and this one has seen proper service so it should run that long. comments This is a good solid affordable all-wheel driver that'll get the job done and won't break the bank.
