Vehicle Detail
This truck is a full sized Ford F-150 Ranger 4x4. I bought the truck from the original owner's family and have documentation proving the ownership back to when the truck was purchased from Ford. The original owner only used the truck for trips into town and I have used it only for an occasional trip to the lumber yard and to tow my car trailer about three times per year. The truck has never been abused and has been meticulously maintained. The body is totally rust free. I had the truck re-sprayed the original black color when I bought it as the prior owner stored it outside in the sun and the hood was heavily oxidized. I also have the truck in my yard and it is time to find it a new home. There is one dent on the lower edge of the right rear fender (see photo). Other than that the paint has a few dings and marks that you would expect from driving an aircraft sized vehicle around in today's traffic. The bed is a full sized bed and is in great shape. The original owner had a thick rubber mat in it which I still have and goes with the truck. I installed a Bed Rug padded carpeting liner. Under the liner is the factory paint in great shape with virtually no paint damage. The engine is a clean 351M industrial motor. Aside from the blow-by on the valve cover vents, it has no oil leaks. It is the original engine with only 72,000+ miles. The original stickers and stampings are still on the engine. The transmission is a manual four speed with a stump-puller first gear. The hi-low transfer case works flawlessly. I had a custom trailer hitch installed with a Prodigy brake controller. I bent the original bumper hitch a bit when I put my car trailer on it so the new hitch was needed. The interior is completely stock. The seat has one crease in it on the driver's side and one small hole near the bottom of the seat on the side. The floor covering is the original rubber mat that is ready for replacement. I have the plastic stems to repair the broken one's but have not installed them as I cannot figure out how to get the broken pieces out without tearing the sun visor material. Consider them sun visor kits at this time. That is as honest description as I can give. If you are looking for a completely original, un-modified, clean rust free example of what is probably the best four wheel drive truck Ford ever built, this is it.
