Vehicle Detail

Welcome to my auction: I am proud to offer for your consideration my 1971 Camaro RallySport Z/28. HISTORICAL DESIGN With SAFTEY Standards & Performance : Introduced for the 1971 Camaro RallySport Z/28. The year was 1971 and was a very low production year for the Z28 Camaro, and continues to be sought after by many enthusiast and collectors . Many interesting design features were introduced this year model. The unique energy absorbing front bumper was constructed of molded endura rubber and then painted the body color; to look as part of the car..The RallySport option was continued from the 1970 year and became the most desirable choice for me for several reasons. In 1971 GM down sized the compression ratio on the NEW 350 from 11.0 to 9.5 to 1; This is much more suitable for todays pump gas. Rated horsepower was 330HP for all the Z28 models. The Corprate 10 bolt rear end with 3.73 positraction option was standard on the Z28..The hi back bucket seat were newly introduced with new integrated head restraints and became the cool look through out the 1970s era. The deluxe sport steering wheel with four spoke styling was standard but the comfort grip was also available and upgraded sport wheel with RS and SS center badging or bowtie emblem . Unique Energy-absorbing steering column features, Designed to colaps at impact and energy-absorbing instrument panel wich included a softer instrament panel knob set. Both front seats were also energy-absorbing. AC Delco Slim line Spark Plugs were introduced,New engine mounts.Styling ques integrated the radio antena to be molded into the windshield. Saftey side bar beams installed in both doors. The doors are extremely heavy becauce of this saftey feature and can with stand an impact at hi speeds, with no danger to the occupents. Shoulder and Seat saftey belts with push buttons buckles were standard. Considered a rare find in todays market place for the great condition and over all presentation this car makes. I have maintained the car from the underside to the top over the last 30 years. If you were to preview the car, and you are welcome too: Please feel free to put it up on a hoist for appreciation or inspection. You will be impressed to the point of wanting to own it and drive it. The car shows very little use from 40 years of California driving...car has been garaged during the last 30 years and it is worth mentioning. Please check out all my pictures . You can see much more than I can mention. Please look at the underside photographs and notice the car was never gunked up with under coating to prevent or hide rust. My goal was not to disturb the original appearance of the clean dry and rust free under carriage..... This car runs and drives like a new car should. but its really 40 years old. The car has seen very few miles during the last three decades. I have performed routine and comprehensive maintenance schedule for my own appreciation and personal desire to have a nice car.. Some people like the second generation camaros, but i love them...It seems to me, that my 71 has beautiful body line characteristics ;that only come from the second gen camaros. This RallySport Z28 is priced to sell., It also has the most to gain in terms of its future expected value. Very few 71 Z28s were built in comparison to the 69 and 70 Camaro Z28s. This car could be a safe harbor for you and a financial investment , best yet you can drive it anywhere and enjoy it. Step back in time and turn the key. If this sounds like the car you have been looking for, its deffinatly worth your time to read more of the details I have provided or call me. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Thank YOU for your consideration. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 30 Years of ownership in review Routine maintenance combined with my love and appreciation took a lot of my time, care and financial resources. Please read details and comprehensive repairs performed <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I drove her 1,456. miles in 30 years, my knowledgable auto friends told me many years ago of the old saying......The old saying goes ,,,"if you dont use it you will lose it". It is true. I drove the Z on sundays ,each month I would take her on the freeway and home again to keep all the seals lubricated and things moving around. It has paid off. The car never had any water or oil leaks. The car starts easily and warms up easily and pulls effortlessly to 8k in first and second gear. It is fun to drive in auto mode or designed to manual shift with the factory horse shoe gated shifter. Lotts of power, very capable drive train and can easily smoke both rear GoodYear polyglass tires and shift into second and continue burning and then chirps into third,,,,excellerates off the line and finishes through the 1/4 mile at 106-115 mph@ 12.5 to 13.60.
