This is a 1997 Volvo V90 wagon in very goof overall condition. However, it is NOT running. The timing belt broke and I am not sure I will have the time to fix it. I have the parts to repair the belt and all the associated parts which I will include with the car, however I do not know if the engine was otherwise damaged when the belt broke which is a strong possibility. Beacuse of this, I am reluctant to start the repairs myself. The car is silver with blue leather interior, heated seats, power accesories, wood inlay trim, a third row pop up seat in the back, and new tires. Everything is in very good overall condition and working except for the important fact that it is currently not running. The engine is a 2.9L 24 valve inline 6 cylinder. The belt broke while on a residential neighborhood road close to home shortly after starting and heading for work. I think the car was probably going between 10 to 25 mph. However, I wasnt driving so Im not sure of the exact speed. What appearently happended was that the belt broke because the tenisioner pully was not replaced when the last belt was installed and the berings on that pully eventually locked up or at least resisted substantially causing the belt thave to slide over the pully instead of just rolling through it. The belt then heated up and eventually broke. I have the full list of parts usually replaced with the timing belt. Timing Belt, Tensioner, Tensioner Pully, I think I might even have a water pump. The water pump was fine however they say its commonly change with the timing belt as a prventetive cost saving measure. The front right turn lense is broken, but I have a new replacement for that as well. Please email if you have any questions.
