Vehicle Detail

I bought this monster in 1993, did a variety of repairs, a friend drove it to Long Island New York, did some additional repairs, drove it to Lime Rock Connecticut, had a tire blow-out, which I fixed by buying two new 31" tires, he drove it back to LI, lost interest, and abandoned it there. I went to get it in 1996, drove it at 70 mph back to upstate NY, and there it sits. I've started it up from time-to-time, and driven it to the local gas station to fill the tires and put some fresh gas in, but now one of the new front tires is flat and ruined, and the whole thing is getting weather worn from sitting in my yard. I'm selling the house, so it's gotta go! What it is, is a mixture of 1966 and '72 Olds Toronado front sub frame grafted onto a Winnebago style body. It was built in the early 70's in Vancouver British Columbia, by the MORRIS Corp(?), which is all I know. It has a 1972 Low Comp 455 and TH425 3 speed auto transmission. It looks very well built, with 3/4 plywood flooring. No junk Particle Board here! Also sprayed with foam insulation. The fuel tank is difficult to fill, I would add a second one for longer driving. It will cruise at 70 mph all day, and got 10 mpg when I drove it 15 years ago. The fuel invoices are still on the dash from 1996, along with the attendance tag from Lime Rock Park! It was driven to Mexico by the previous Owner every winter, so it had MINIMAL rust underneath. A few repairs will have to be done, including new wiper linkage, (potable) water pipes inside and the lower-side door frame which got slightly damaged by a boulder the PO drove over. I havn't started it in a few years, but it should be fine. I will help in any way I can, with starting it, or loading it onto a transport. It is certainly unique. Pleas ask any questions before bidding. This has been sitting for years, so don't expect to crank er up and drive away! It's located in Saranac New York, 12981. Halfway between Saranac Lake NY and Plattsburgh, NY. Lots of hotels 15 miles away in Plattsburgh, 12901. 75 miles south of Montreal, 325 miles from New York City, just off I87. 1 hour 15 minutes from Burlington Vermont. New York State Transferable Registration in hand. New York doesn't issue Titles to vehicles older than 1973. Cooperative DMV just around the corner from my house. My other interests are Corvairs and Suburban's, particularly the older solid front axle 4x4 diesels. Ebay won't allow the use of the Tr*d* word... Sold AS-IS!
