This auction is for a survivor of a rare breed, a Bitter SC 3.9! It is an allmost rustfree California car with less than 70000 original miles. The body built in Italy by Maggiore, also making bodies for Maserati and Bristol shows similarities to those Luxury Coupes of Ferrari, Maserati and DeTomaso of that time. The tan leather interior was made in Italy as well, by the Company SALT. Final assembly of these cars was done in Germany, with late model years also being assembled in Graz, Austria. Only 488 SCs were built. How many survived? This is an example of a survivor, thanks to the perfect climate in Southern California, dry desert air. But it was neglected and needs restoration. The only rust is around the windschield and rear window, but not too bad. The interior is faded and shows the age, but not torn. The motor runs healthy and the car would drive, but it needs a new electric fuel pump and the intake boot. The windshield has a crack. The left quarter panel is dented, but fixable. I do have the rear bumper. The steering column needs attention, something is lose. Please look very closely at the super size pictures to get an idea about the cars condition. California Residents will have to pay tax and are responsible for the smog, since this is a restoration project. Out of state buyers are excempt. Winning bidder has to pay within 7 days after auction end. A $250.00 PayPal deposit is required within 24 hours after auction end!
