1985 Jaguar XJS V-12 HE 5.3L Coupe – Classic Jaguar V-12 coupe with only 52,600 miles in good condition. Runs well, is fast and smooth. 3 Speed Automatic transmission, sunroof and climate control. Euro lights with headlight wipers. Reserve price reduced!!! Mechanicals: Original 5.3L 300 HP V-12, fuel injected, Jaguar engine with 3 speed automatic transmission, rear wheel drive. Engine runs well. Transmission rebuilt 2K miles ago. Only climate control air conditioning is non-functional (due to a bad AC control module) but system holds pressure and compressor spins with engine running. AC system converted to 134a Freon free refrigerant. New battery, brakes re-done front & rear including master cylinder rebuild and new servo booster. Brakes now work perfectly and no pulls side to side. Exhaust excellent with no leaks. Cooling system excellent, no overheating with both electric fans working as needed. Fuel injection excellent condition with new fuel pump & comes with a spare working FI computer. Fuel lines blown clean and filters replaced. Engine is very happy rev’ing throughout entire range with no drama or complaints. Tires on all four wheels are old but have plenty of tread and hold air, 3 tires match and one was former spare and doesn’t match. Spare rim but no tire. New front nitrogen gas shocks installed and functioning perfectly. Minor oil seepage onto hot manifold occasionally causes minor engine compartment smoke. Source unknown as valve cover gaskets changed 2 months ago. Engine exhaust clean and smoke free. Electrical: Other than AC, all electrical items work. Headlight wipers function but are not wired up at this time due to non-Euro wiring harness connections available. Easily wired to main wiper wires at firewall. Interior: Light gray leather & carpet throughout. Wood trim in good condition with some minor varnish lift on some pieces. Beautiful wood MoMo Steering wheel (Original also included). Car interior has power side windows, interior is in very good condition, all original leather with no tears. Door panels in very good condition as is carpet. Power side mirrors work as should. Only minor wear in usual places. Original functional Jaguar factory AM/FM radio with cassette tape. Integrated power antenna lift still works. Trunk is clean and has full original carpet set. Spare has rim only. Original tool kit is in trunk and is complete. Sunroof is aftermarket but operates well and is leak free. Body: Repainted dark blue body paint (was dark gray originally) with black rubber & chrome covered bumpers and chrome trim accents. Paint is not very good close up but from 10 feet away looks fine. Remarkably this body is exceptionally rust free but has a few signs of minor rust forming around the usual places. Rest of body in very good condition with only a few minor paint flecks , scrapes & scratches. A few minor nicks here and there, no major accidents. One small rust perforated area repaired with new metal at front of passenger floor at front jacking point. Strong as original and sealed against further damage. Car has passed NJ State inspection and is driven on rain free weekends. Have owned for last 8 years and have enjoyed car immensely. Must sell to help pay for new kitchen. My kitchen project is your automotive gain. Complete shop manuals for the car are included. Lots of spare parts including various engine, electrical and various mechanical parts.
