Vehicle Detail
I love this car but have to give it up due to back problems. So, I would love to see it go to someone who will give it a good home, and enjoy it as much as I do.I use it regularly between April - November (no salt on roads), and garage in winter. Its great to take to the beach, or drives in country - wherever you like. It runs great. Has recently rebuilt engine, is inspected, and runs great. Minimal rust -- really in very good condition. Original paint all over, except for waterproofing on bottom to avoid corrosion from road salt, etc. Minor paint chipping around left front headlight, and a few spot areas (see photos for detail). Original interior. The car has semi-automatic shift (ie. has no clutch, but three gears, and you enter 3rd at 40 mph, and it goes from there). The car can do 80 mph, but likes to drive between 50-65 mph. Test drives can be scheduled. The car was originally bought in Miami, then moved north, and was garaged for 14 years before I bought it a few years ago. I have had the pleasure of owning it for 4.5 years.Have full history of maintenance, repairs, etc. which will be provided to new owner. Radio/Cassette Deck in working order. Dash has typical Karmann Ghia crack, but have a new replacement dash, which can be installed by new owner, and will be provided along with car.Drivers seat has a small tear in upper shoulder that developed in the last year. Cloth cover also comes with the car. The car is being sold as is. No warranty is implied. Added pics of engine, and interior. Back of car has carpeting pulled out, picture shows residual carpeting and glue on metal (not rust) -- have not yet installed replacement carpeting.
