Vehicle Detail

This a 1937 Buick which I have owned for 7yrs. When I first got it I changed the water pump rebuilt the fuel pump and ran new fuel lines. Have had no problems with these things since then. The car is not a show car it is a 20 footer paint wise and there is a chip about the size of a fifty cent piece near the front window. It runs shifts and stops good. The windows go up and down as they should and they have a light green tint. The inside is in very good condition seats have no stains rips or tears. The carpet is very good no stains and it has the correct rubber floor mat on front. Dash looks very good, I rechromed many of the items that needed rechroming. It does not have a radio but I do have one (less the head unit) which I will give you. Car has original (not reproduction) decals on windows. If you don't like, just scrape off. All of the chrome on outside is in very good condition no rust and I had the window divider, hood handles, tail light housings and hood ornament rechromed. It has reproduction fog lights. Also it has matching grill guards front and (pulldown) rear. Notice the original (not reproductions) fender lights, they do not light up but it is an easy fix just run a 6volt bulb. It is still 6volt, starts good. To start push down on the gas pedal. I drove her to my father's house, a 120 mile round trip just about once a month and she never left me on the side of the road. The only major work I had done was the pressure plate went out so I had a shop install a new plate and clutch about a year ago. Have not had a problem with them since. All gauges work but for some reason the turn signals went out about a month ago not sure why. The steering wheel was recast and is in like new condition. Trunk area is very good no rust at all. The only two things I would look at is the steering, It's not bad but I think it could be tightened up some by adjusting the steering box and the emergency brakes do not work (pulled it one time and the cable broke just never did look at it). The brake system has DOT 5 fluid in it and I have about a gallon of it to give you. I have many extra parts and magazines (I was in the 37/38 Buick Club and I kept the books) that go with her. This is a good way to get started without spending a bunch. It has a low starting price and no reserve so remember if you are the high bidder it's yours. I require a $500.00 deposit 72 hours after end of auction. You are responsible for shipping but I will help as much as possible. Please call me with any questions 504-234-1608 Glen. I added a few photos of headliner and the bad paint spot next to the front window. The rubbers around windows are very good with the exception of around the rear vent, shows some cracking in the rubber as it bends around the vent. I changes the trunk gasket when I first got it, it never leaked just didn't like the way it looked. As I said it's not a show car but if you look at the prices people are asking for cars with the insides gutted, I think this is a good deal.
