For Sale: exceptionally clean Impala convertible. I am the 2nd registered owner. It has been primarily stored since the early 1990's after a pretty comprehensive "body on" restoration was completed, which included: complete mechanical rebuild or replacement. The motor is a replacement. It runs very strong. It cruises effortlessly at 65-75 MPH. It runs very quietly with no oil usage or leaks. The suspension has been rebuilt and it drives straight and true, obviously very tight! The brakes have been rebuilt. It has new mufflers and pipes and sounds as it should with a quiet rumble. It has a power glide transmission with a 12 bolt rear. The body was refinished and the paint shows very glossy and nice at 5 ft. Because of the years it is starting to show it's age. There are some small chips and imperfections. They are small and minute enough that the pictures and the average person would not notice, but they are there and you need to know that! The factory original floors are very solid. The trunk floor has been repaired and is quite solid! The rear quarters have had new reproduction panels welded in and are finished on the interior trunk walls and done right. The bottom of the front fenders have been also repaired. Overall the body is very nice and shows no apparent rust. The body lines are crisp and the doors snap shut without sagging or rattles. It has had all new weather stripping including doors, window channels, pillar posts, and trunk. A new convertible top and pads were installed and is very nice with a perfectly clear back plastic window The chrome is all factory original and has nice brilliance for it's age! No pealing or rust! Upon very close inspection you will see fine weather checking in spots. The interior was completely replaced with reproduction seat covers, door and quarter panels with new chrome arm rests and pads, and correct carpeting. It has the original floor mats with the factory bow tie logo that are in beautiful, unworn condition. It also has an almost new original bias belted spare tire with a new condition trunk mat. It has a deep tread, matched set of Good Year radials. It is equipped with power steering and brakes, power top which work well as they should. It has the factory AM radio. In my humble opinion, some day this car deserves to be taken the rest of the way to show car status.
