Vehicle Detail
If you are looking for a nice, late model Crown Victoria Police Interceptor - look no further. I am a working Fire Chief that purchased this car through a local connection to use on my days off. It was used by a rural township for police patrol and was sold to make room for a new fleet when the car had 55,000 miles on it (way too soon in my opinion). When I received the car it needed some minor maintenance, so I took it to a shop and had them replace the brake pads, rotors, put new Goodyear RSA tires (4), new shocks (4), new Motorcraft wipers, had a front end alignment performed, and had the oil changed with new Motorcraft filter. The oil was changed regularly every 3500 miles by the township. In addition I replaced the rubber mat with factory carpeting, added Ford factory mats, a new Unity spot lamp, and had the side moldings repainted (they were scuffed). This car was never in an accident to my knowledge, and runs and drives beautifully. It is totally reliable and could be driven anywhere or put into immediate fleet use. Tires are at 80% tread and the spare is in excellent condition. The interior is like new and is owned by a non-smoker. It has no leaks and all options and accessories work 100 %. AC blows ice cold, all power windows and door locks work (I had the rear door locks and windows reconnected for passenger use). It has power seats, power lumbar support, power and heated mirrors, AM/FM (no CD player), dash mounted trunk release. There are some scuffs and scratches to the paint - mainly to the front and rear bumpers - so don't bid if you are looking for a brand new car. There are also two holes in the roof (one hole has a bit of distortion around it) and one in the trunk that have been plugged. However, the car is extremely straight with only a door ding or two, and has paint that shines like new. In fact, the public and the police are constantly waving at me when I'm out for a Sunday drive. They just assume a late model P71 in this condition must be in service - and it can be - for you! I'm fussy about cars and know you will have to look at dozens and dozens of other former police cars to find one in this good of condition, with low miles and a good price point - so call me (Andrew) at 313-244-1911 if you need any questions answered about this great vehicle. Only selling due to buying a new pick-up truck (I should drive this car to 150,000 miles - but you can instead -and you will love how it performs and gets decent gas mileage 17 & 22). Thanks for your interest and good luck bidding.
