I have this pristine R1110rs ,that I really don`t drive that much anymore. I bought the bike about three years ago from a gent in West Virginia,the bike was just too small for him& he didn`t use it (a Harley Guy.) This is the fourth "oil head r1100rs" I`ve owned & I knew I had a nice one from the moment I saw it. It had about 5000 miles on it ,I was told that the 600 mile check was done ,& a shop service in Ohio at 3000. I checked it out at his home ,I know what I`m looking for, It needed new tires & a brake bleed. I`ve meticulously maintained the machine since that time,no trouble, everything works. By the year 2000 I think they`ve had the surging issue sorted out. The bike is box stock except for a few niceties ,it also happens to be the nicest R1100 RS out of the other three I`ve owned. It`s got a new set of Michelin Pilot Sports (second set) the tires have no more than 500 miles on them. A new Odyssey battery, Throttlemeister,really nice hand guards (they come in handy! ) ,a set of hyper lights that act as nice taillights & flash 7 times when the brakes are applied, some of the later RS models came with a rear luggage rack rather than the useless grab handle . These racks are" BMW "expensive & a real bear to install. Of course the cases are included .I`ve got the city cases installed ,that I`ve promised to a buddy ,however the standard lids are in perfect shape. I`ve got a set of big reflective decals the go on the big bags that you may have. The only flaw is a scratch on the rear rim where I didn`t tape it ,& scraped the ABS sensor ring ,arrrrrrrggrrr>>.And a garage drop that scratched the left cylinder guard(c`mon there are those who have, & there are those who are going to!) What can I say the bike is spotless,runs beautifully ,& brakes flawlessly .
