Vehicle Detail
1951 chevy 2 door sedan. I've had this car for 5 years now and have updated many things and driven it, it's very reliable. Built to look like a mid 50's custom with a few body mods. Body is in good shape, rockers and quarters have been replaced with EMS sheetmetal, it still needs the front fenders to be patched at the bottom. We added 56 Buick taillights and 55 chevy headlights for a mild custom touch. Inner quarters still need work rockers are in but no inner rockers, I never planned on selling it but another car has come along that I need to buy.... Floors have a few patches but are good the trunk floor is nice. Body mounts are ok. Feel free to call me I can give better details over the phone. 651*485*8075 (matt) Body work was started, it would need to be blocked out for paint, the guy who did it did a great job. I always planed on keeping this a suede car so we didn't go crazy making the body perfect, but in no means is it bad bodywork. It was put in grey and red suede and scalloped in gold and the scallops are outlined with a black pinstripe. I painted the scallops and I'm a amarture painter... All other sheet metal and paint work was done at a shop locally. Splash pan were rusty so I took them off, I still have them. Last summer I put $3000 into bodywork and sheetmetal from ems. Motor is a 57- 235 truck motor with 10,000 miles on rebuild, I put the motor in in 2007, we took the motor plate off the original 216 and put it on the 235, we also added new front and rear main seals to the motor as long as it was on the stand. Motor has fenton cast split manifolds new exhaust and nno mufflers. Offy 2 carb intake with cast aluminum air cleaners. Valve cover is a cast and polished Wixski cover, its very nice and doesn't leak, I took the rocker studs off the 216 and used it on the 235 so it still looks like the original 216 thats been hopped up. It has pertronix ignition and is a 12v car. It starts super ez. Has a GM alternator and new battery. This car ALWYAS starts on the first try. The moter is aweasom! Tranny is original 3 speed with new clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing and flywheel resurfaces. Chassis is original, I put a new Tanks gas tank in 2006. 2007 I put all new brakes, everything is new down to the brake lines... I added a National Chevy duel master for a little added safety. Tires are bias www's 1 of them is a Coker, 3 are Remington. ..... They match almost perfect, at the time is was a 1 year wait on the 4th Remington. 3" blocks added to the rear and 1 coil cut in the front. Sits perfect for me. Interior is original, seats are great, nothing ripped up or torn plenty of stains from who knows what over it's life, headliner is not falling down she's all in tack. Door panel on drivers side it ripped up and drivers inside door handle needs to be replaced. Rubber floor mat in front is ok rear carpet is there, needs to be replaced. Car runs and drives great, I put over 100 miles on her this weekend and loved it! It's loud and full of torque with that hopped up 235. I have the car for sale locally so I may end the auction, I can store car if needed for reasonable amount of time. Payment due in 7 days of auction closing. Feel free to call me if you have questions or want to come and look at it. 651-485-8075 (matt) I know I'm forgetting stuff, ask question!!
