Vehicle Detail

I am your typical car guy. I've had everything you can think of, but I'd like to say the 928s are built like tanks and powerful as formula 1s. I owned this great car since 2005 and I wish I could keep holding on to it .. but it needs some TLC, and it is a keeper. It handles better than 911, and it cruses faster than any production cat its size. Mechanically/engine/transmission/tires/brakes it gets a 10 out of 10 ... Cosmetically it can not hold the same paint job for 31 years .. so it is fading the shine a little only on the hood and its roof. It has sunroof, fog-lights, wider tires in the rear, .. and a sweet roar to it. On Sep-07-10 at 15:27:22 PDT, seller added the following information: This Porsche has been with me since beginning of 2005 when it had 95K original mileage on the odometer. It belonged to a elderly gentleman whom owned 2 porsches, this 928 and a 944 for his wife. He was going through divorce and he had to sell his 928 that was his baby. He kept it garaged at all times. When I wanted to buy the car he came on test drive with me and he was so nervous about some body else driving his baby. I pampered the car as much as I could .. and I can say the car has been really a great car to me. The reason it has a salvage title is that a high framed SUV in reverse coming out of a parking garage ran into the back of the 928 where its bumper hit the hatch back door where the air fin of the 928 raps around that door. It ripped the air fin and caused some damage to the body on the quarter panel and the arm of the hatch back where the rise when you open the hatch back door. State farm thought that there is no way that any body shop will be able to match the paint job on a classic car where every parts and paint job are the original parts and paint from the day 1. Thats why it announced it salvage. I drive the car almost every day, the odometer says 108K but it has stopped about 9 months ago and I truly can say that the true mileage is under 120K. There is absolutely no mechanical problem what so ever. There is absolutely no electrical problem what so ever. There is no problem with the car at all. The cosmetic flaws are only the hood/roof paint lacker glossy shiny finish which is fading only due to the fact that it has 31 years time on it. The rest of the car looks great as you can see in the pictures. The pictures are by a camera phone and the have not been retouched. Altogether whom ever own this they will contact me and they will say thank you.
