Vehicle Detail

This auction is for a 1972 4x4 1/2 ton K5 Blazer that's my daily driver. I put an average of 150 miles a week on this rig with no problems, but I'm getting ready to go back to school and can't afford to drive it there and back 5 days a week on top of everything else. The paint is just rattle can black. It appears to have been a yellow custard color from the factory. There is no top other than the one pictured which is a top I recently cut off of a truck cab to help shade the front seats from the sun when I'm stuck in traffic. The last owner installed a 21 gallon poly fuel tank with a new sender also. The blazer had a soft top on it at one time so there's some rivet holes on the tailgate, back corners of the tub, and window frame. There's a tilt column in it, but not a tach. It has 4 6x9 speakers and an Ipod ready CD player installed. Also this is a non-A/C cab, but I've got an A/C dash that can go with it if someone wants to covert it. I've made two seperated trips to the coast which is about two hours from my home with no problems at all. The four wheel drive works great. I would drive this to the East Coast with no worries other than fuel prices! I recently changed the transmission filter/fluid, fuel filter, oil filter/oil, transfer case gear oil, plugs, cap, rotor, wires and installed a new K&N air filter. I also just had a set of Flowmaster 40 Series installed and they sound awsome. It's got a small block 350/turbo 350/NP205 drivetrain with half ton running gear that was rebuilt about 30,000 miles ago. The 350 has an Edelbrock aluminum intake and an Edelbrock 1406 electric choke carb. The carpet was removed and someone applied a roll on bedliner of some kind. The wheels are aftermarket as you can see and the tires are in at least 50% condition as far as tread goes. As you can see in the photos there's a rollbar installed also. I just put a set of ProComp offroad lights behind the grill and installed blinkers behind the grill because I was going to install a tube bumper. I had an aluminum truck box modified to fit in the back for storage and security. The rear seat sits a littl more forward to allow the box to fit and still have room behind for other storage. This Blazer has some of the normal rust associated with these years, but is actually very sound. The front fender area under the battery tray has the worst rust, but all of the rusted parts are replaceable. In the picture that shows the inside front area you can see the passenger side floorboard has a speed limit sign riveted to the floor. This was done by the previous owner and I've never had a reason to pull it and see how the floor looks, but he said there was a hole about the size of an apple in it. The doors are very solid! They were truck doors to begin with that the previous owner had built about 3 years ago by a local person that deals with this body style. He also got the metal door panels so you don't have to worry about the plastic fading or breaking. This is by no means a show truck, it has dents and scrapes, seeps, and rust as I mentioned. All in all though I beleive it's in very good condition for it's age and these are getting harder and harder to come by. If the Blazer goes for the buy it now price I will also throw in a rebuilder set of 3/4 ton running gear. Dana 44 drum brake front with raised steering arm, Eaton drum brake rear end, and a Dana 60 drumbrake rearend that needs inner axle shafts to be complete. A 4 inch lift spring front, block rear. A front and rear set of new bushings for the springs, and a brand new set of u-bolts I just had made for the front axle with new center pins for the front spring-pack. A set of front fenders, a set of truck doors, and any other parts I've got for this body style. Trust me you'll get enough parts that you'll need a trailer to haul them all! The winning bidder will need to pick up the Blazer or make arrangements to have it picked up as there's NO SHIPPING! I would be willing to drive to most locations if the winning bidder and I can come to an arangement on a seperate price. Thanks for looking and please feel free to ask any questions before bidding and I will do my best to answer them. Have a great day!
