Up for auction is my 1979 Lil Red Express. This is my first time as a seller on Ebay so bear with me. This truck was completely restored from the ground up in 1996. That includes blasting and repainting frame all new bushings, tie rod ends ball joints etc in front end, cab bushings spring bushings etc.Reman steering box,rebuilt engine .030 over, new holley carb, eldorbrock intake, water pump, oil pump, lifters etc.I have original intake and carb if wanted. Engine is original, transmission is out of a 1979 dodge but is not the one that came with the truck after rebuilding the transmission the torque converter through a weight and busted the housing to bad to use. the transmission has been rebuilt with a mild shift kit. Rear end is a 355:1 and was in the truck when purchased. I have no reason to believe it is not original. It has factory air, tilt wheel and cruise. The A/C has a leak and must be repaired, a charge will last about a month, it has not been changed over and is still R12 freon. The Tilt wheel does not appear to be original, I have not seen it on any other 1979 xpress's.(your call) The truck has been Garaqge kept for 14 years It has roughly 4000 miles on it since the rebuild. I recently took it to Carlisle Pa. approximately 500 miles round trip with no problems . The temperature was 102 the day we left and did not overheat.This truck was completely refurbished in 1996. This truck is an excellant driver, very dependable and turns heads whereever it goes. As I mentioned the resto was 14 years ago there are garage scratches some chipped paint etc.but in very good condition. Truck can be driven or hauled at purchasers discretion. There is a low reserve set on this vehicle . Please only serious bidders that can afford to pay for this vehicle. Buyer will be responsible for pickup. I will assist any way pratical abd would meet buyer within 150 miles to deliver. The pictures here are poor quality serious buyers email me and I will get better pictures.
