It belonged to one of the water departments. The van has very low original mileage for the year. It runs and drives excellent, is aptly equipped, and is priced affordably. These vans are bulletproof and becoming increasingly difficult to find. We were lucky to fall on this one when traded in at a new car store in Colorado Springs on a new vehicle. This is a great workhorse in ALL WHEEL DRIVE with a long haul yet to go! exterior The paint and body on this van are pretty good overall for a service rig. It's a work van and not new, but it looks perfectly presentable for the job. The paint has pretty good gloss, no rust or obvious body damage. It's been in Colorado since day one and we don't salt the roads here. The windshield is new. The wheels look fine, tires are a bit thin. We can replace at a discount with no tax if you like. (They're very inexpensive to replace on this van.) The van had hail damage on the hood when we bought it. We replaced it rather than PDRing it. A portion of the left side has been re-painted, 'hard-lined' which is visible, but not a big deal, only visible in the shade and when you're hunting. The roof still has some dings in it, but Astros are actually taller than most cargo van, so you don't see it. The mirrors are faded, front grille is a bit too, van has a couple small scratches and a ding'd spot just behind the sliding door. It's all pretty minor stuff, but we like to discuss it well so you know what you're getting. The photos document everything, have a look! interior The interior is actually very nice. It smells pleasant and hasn't been smoked in, lighter is still clean. The cloth is still in very nice shape, the mileage it does have is probably freeway. The vinyl flooring is all in good shape, and glass windows make it a lot easier to see out of than most cargo vans. The air blows ice cold and came in that way. It's pretty simple inside, not much to break. What is there all works nice. mechanical This van runs out perfect. City maintained vehicles are some of the best to buy. We've always had great luck with them. These Astros with the 4.3 vortec are extremely durable. The vast majority we sell (quite a bit) end up going to repeat Astro buyers. I've heard a lot of stories of 400k+ vans. The van fires right up and idles smooth. The starter was noisy when we brought it in, so that's been replaced. The oil and filter are new. The undercarriage is actually fairly clean, no wet leaks. The motor runs strong, transmission shifts perfect, t-case and diff fluids full, no warning lights, no odd noises, no hiccups at all.
