I originally bought the car planning to create a V8 "restomod", but I don't have time. My rating is based on a poor/fair/good/excellent scale. "Excellent" is a concours perfect show car while "Poor" is a rust bucket. This car falls squarely between "Fair" and "Good". The car was purchased in August 2006. I drove it home to Alabama from NY State without a glitch. Although the car is in fair/good condition overall, I wouldn't attempt such a long trip again. I currently drive the car on weekends around town and to local car shows. I've really enjoyed it. I was informed by the previous owner that the car was superficially restored in the mid 1980s. He said the floor pans were replaced at that time. The car was garage kept since that restoration. My inspections indicate the floors were repaired although the quality can't be verified without a full teardown. The only real trouble I've had with the car is with the 3spd manual transmission, which is sloppy and needs a complete rebuild. This is a pre-synchro model trans, so I planned a T5 swap. There is one known electrical issue. Using the headlights causes the rear lights to shut off after a few minutes. The headlights continue to work. I never drive this car at night, so I've not bothered with a repair. No other electrical problems are known: blinkers, hazards, dash, etc work as expected. Other issues may exist. This vehicle is sold "as-is" with no warranties. Please inspect the car in person before bidding! Misc details...
