Vehicle Detail
Clean van in good condition. KBB private party 'GOOD' condition value is $9185. I ran a Carfax, and it’s clean. Paint is shiny, Leather interior is clean without damage. Garaged since I've owned it (3 years). New Michelin tires in January. Front and rear air conditioning is cold and has never required any service. The Limited edition has 3.8L V6, rear entertainment, 6CD/DVD changer, power windows and locks, power seats, power sliding doors and back door, sunroof, backup sensors, and much more. Trailer receiver hitch with 2 inch ball. I occasionally pulled a light utility trailer. Non-smoker. Stow N Go seats provide 7 passenger seating, or a lot of potential cargo volume. Cruise control, Trip computer, Heated front seats, Backup sensors, Heated mirrors. Mileage is high at 169k, but we've put most of those on the highway, and our mechanic has maintained it well. The van is in good operating condition. As expected for a 5 year old car, there are some minor cosmetic issues. Overall, the van looks better than most cars its age. There are also some minor accessory issues. Listed here is absolutely everything I know of that’s not perfect about the van. Don’t feel that there’s a lot wrong, I’m just being entirely honest about every detail: The built-in navigation no longer reads it's disk, so won't work. A $100 Garmin is better anyway. The power steering sometimes makes a 'clunk', but it’s been the same for nearly a year, with no ill effects. I expect it will continue to work for a long time. The car leaks and uses some oil, which is not unexpected over 100K miles. One quart between oil changes is enough. There's a small bit of paint that was damaged by road debris - the area is smaller than my palm, and is low on the right rear quarter panel. Everything else after that is really minor: The electric door unlock on the back doors usually won’t work, though it will always lock. The power sliding mechanism works great. The passenger side front window usually won’t roll down, but will always roll back up. The driver seat has some small hairline cracks in the material, hardly noticeable. See picture. The windshield has a round divot the size of a quarter on the far right side. It’s well out of the drivers line of sight; there are not cracks and it’s not spreading. The van has a tire pressure monitoring system, but one of the sensors is bad; thus, it always tells you the tire pressure system has a problem. The shiny metallized plastic on the front grille and one wheel has areas of peeling, which are only noticeable up close. Overall, this van is in good condition, and has been a daily and long distance trip driver for us for three years. I feel absolutely comfortable taking a highway trip with it, and have done so within the last few weeks. It looks good and drives really well.
