Please read all listing info and don't hesitate to send me questions. I am not a car expert and am doing my best to make an honest accurate listing. I bought this car about a year or so ago and when I carfaxed it, the history was clear. I have had no accidents in it. This sucker has get up and go. I will start with the issues it's having and move to all the other stuff I can tell you. If I was a mechanic, I would fix it myself and resell as I know these cars still fetch a nice price when all is running. Even more so, if I knew how to take cars apart, I would do that now because I know he engine, turbo and several other parts would get me what I want for this car. So on with it we go. Again, please let me know any questions you have. What it needs: Per the service station I just had it at, it needs a transmission. The light came on saying check gearbox and it would drive for a minute, but then the RPM would go up but the car wouldn't be accelerating. I would stop the car, turn it off, turn it back on and it would drive again for a minute. One minute it would go in reverse, the next minute it wouldn't. I really couldn't tell you what the acctual problem is. I would hope the mechanic would be accurate but who knows. I search Saab 9.5 check gearbox online and found numerous things it could be. Looks like most minimal problem could be some kind of switch. This is the best I can tell you about the transmission issue. Shortly after I bought it, the check engine light came on. The mechanic said it was an evap leak. The car drove fine. Excellent power and acceleration. Roughly 23-25mpg around town. We don't have inspection and he told me unless the check engine light flashes it's not a serious life or death of the car thing. So I left it alone. Last thing I can tell you on the negative side is the heating and air needs repair. During the winter the heat didn't seem to get too hot and then when I went to use the air conditioning this summer, it wasn't working. As you may be able to tell, I don't have to drive too far day to day. My boyfriend and his dad looked at it thinking the freon just needed a charge but they noticed it seems to be disconnected. Looks like the hoses are disconnected or something. Never had it looked at by a mechanic so I can't tell you any more than that. Onto The Good: As far as I can tell the engine is strong. This car really does take off as it should with the turbo. Everything in it is electronic. The dash tells you everything right down to that the key battery needs to be changed. All the electronics work. Dash display works. Heated seats and mirrors. Sunroof. CD player (I never tried the tape player). Electric mirrors work. Seat moving back and forth. Everything with power works! Leather is good inside. Has original floor mats. Everything about this car aside from the items listed above is great. I always wanted a SAAb before I got this car and I will have one again. I don't know what else I can tell you. I had to take the tinting off the windows because I kept getting pulled over. The outside is in great shape. No dents or anything. Being a 99 it does have some shallow scratches but I am sure the right person could buff them out or find the right color to rub over them to blend it in. As you can see by the pic, there is some sun damage to the paint above the windsield. The fog light glass cover is broken. Has been since I got it. Lights all work. Raidiator is about 2 months old. Tires are less than a year old. If I can locate these receipts i will have them in the glove box for you. Oh... that reminds me. The dealer I bought this from (no too happy with him) had a 9.3 manual in the glove box. Not sure how that happened. As I think of other things I will add them to the listing. Serious buyers after reading this, please send me your email address and I will send you lots of pictures. I will clean out the car this weekend and take the pics. Inside really is great and has kept so well. Last thing I can tell you is the odometer reading on here right now is approximate. When it came back from the body shop the battery was dead. I will have my boyfriend charge the battey tomorrow and I will update this listing with the exact mileage.I will include a picture of it with all the other pics I send buyers who contact me. I am just trying to keep this listing low and wanted to get the listing up right away. HOW YOU GET THE CAR IS UP TO YOU. I WILL SEND THE BUYER MY ADDRESS AND YOU MAKE ALL THE ARRANGEMENTS TO HAVE IT PICKED UP. YOUR CHOICE AS TO IF YOU COME AND GET IT OR SEND A TOW TRUCK. YOUR CHOICE IF I LEAVE THE TITLE IN THE GLOVE BOX FOR YOU OR IF YOU WANT TO PAY TO HAVE IT OVERNIGHTED TO YOU. IF YOU WANT IT SENT REGULAR MAIL, I WILL SEND IT THAT WAY. TO THE WINNING BIDDER, PLEASE BE PREPARED TO PAY UPON THE AUCTION ENDING. WHATEVER THIS CAR SELLS FOR IS WHAT I AM PUTTING DOWN ON MY NEXT CAR. RIGHT NOW MY BOSS HAS LENT ME ONE OF HIS, SO SERIOUSLY, PLEASE ONLY BID IF YOU ARE PREPARED TO BID PROMPTLY. That is all I can think of. Pease send me questions. On Aug-27-10 at 16:28:54 PDT, seller added the following information: ****UPDATE: I charged the battery and the car is driving forward ok. I didn't take it on the highway or anything, just around the big old yard we have. It's not going in reverse. It was before. The off and on problems make me wonder if it could just be a switch of some kind. Like I said above, if you search this kind of car for a gearbox light warning, you'll see info about this switch I speak of. Exact mileage is 133,334. Currently there are no warning lights on. It runs so quietly you almost don't hear it. Looking over all the things I love about this car, I almost don't want to part with it. Just wish I knew more about cars and the fixing of cars.****On Aug-28-10 at 08:41:06 PDT, seller added the following information: ***** Update: I have added some pictures to the listing. The first string of interior is before I started cleaning out the car. The last 5 before the engine pic are as I was cleaning it out. You should be able to see the difference. Please email me if you want even more pics.
