This auction is for a 2001 BMW 740iL in Alpine White with Sport Package accents and 18” Sport “M” Parallel Spoke alloy (though this vehicle is not equipped with the Sport package performance suspension).. I purchased this car in September of 2003 from Weatherford BMW in Emeryville (Berkeley), California and at that time it had 46,600 miles so you can see that I have averaged only 7,000 miles per year since I have owned the vehicle and in the last two years have averaged 3,200 miles per year! It was BMW certified at that time as a California vehicle and I have only had it serviced (other than oil changes and new tires) by BMW dealers which include: Weatherford BMW – Emeryville, California BMW of San Francisco – San Francisco, California Sonnen BMW – San Rafael, California Desert BMW – Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada Within six weeks of purchasing the car I changed the oil over to AMSOIL Synthetic Engine Oil (www.amsoil.com) and have kept it on the AMSOIL Synthetics since I have owned it. There were new Michelin tires installed on the car in March of 2008 and the vehicle had 86,700 miles on it at that time. I installed a new battery in the summer of 2009 as well. The vehicle has about every option offered in the Sport package from 2001 including some of the more popular features of a 6-disc CD changer, navigation system, rear window shades, air bags everywhere (front, sides, head, rear passenger sides, etc.). In 2001 BMW offered an integrated phone in the center console but I had mine removed as it was quickly outdated. I installed an after-market center console that used the cell phone placement for storage – glad I did this. Needless to say the car has been taken care of and has always been garaged. It has never spent the night outdoors other than for an occasional business or weekend getaway. I will include the BMW front windshield sun cover which is pretty worn out from use so you can rest assured that it has not sat in the sun for extended periods of time. The only flaw is included in the photos as there is a small pinpoint dent under the drivers handle – I have included a photo of this ding in the attached photos. Service records are available for inspection from the BMW dealers listed above and some of the things that BMW dealers have serviced are power steering hoses, lower ball joints, ignition switch, the radiator and radiator expansion tank, intake manifold and front cranks seals, vacuum hoses, and both kidney grills in the front of the car have been replaced in the last year.
