1962 mercury Comet S-22 for sale. 170, straight 6 engine. Auto trans. 75K original miles. 2 door. Cream/white exterior and interior. I bought it in the early 90's thinking I would have time to restore it. Prior to my buying it, it was last registered in 83 so it sat for about 10 years. The previous owner said it wouldn't run and they parked it instead of fixing it. It had 70K miles on it then. I bought it and had the engine completely rebuilt(bored .040 over), all new tires, and all new brakes and brake lines put on it. I drove it a little bit and put about 4,000 miles on it before I parked it to start restoring it. I removed the windshield because it was cracked, and removed the seats to pull the carpet out of it. Then it sat. I never had time to work on it and it was always in the way in the garage so I put it in storage and of course haven't done anything since. That was about 5 years ago and my wife is tired of me paying to store it. So if someone knows that they have the time to restore it I am going to sell it.
