Vehicle Detail
Car runs like a tank. Engine is smooth-running, strong, smokeless. Transmission tight. Drivetrain, too. From there it gets rough. Electric windows work but the side interior door panels were removed to go into another car. I have replacement side panels from the other car, which also donated the cloth fabric seats. A deer strikes seriously damaged the front headlight fascia, though the headlights work. So do the turn signals. There is a hole in the muffler. The car desperately needs new rear brakes. It passed inspection last year but would not pass this year. It is currently out of inspection. I bought it four years ago from a local Pa. dealer. Best buy I ever made. Water pump and fuel pump replaced recently. Timing chain replaced within 20,000 miles. Radiator replaced. All four wheels and tires good, though tires not exceptional. Half about half their tread life. There are dings and scrapes in two doors, the hood is slightly buckled, and there is a paint mismatch on the right rear door. Except for the rear brake sand the fact that the car is not currently inspected, I would drive it anywhere. It never overheats, has significant power, runs smoothly, transmission absolutely tight (it was rebuilt at 200,000 miles). Battery only 6 mos old. Pictures pretty well tell the story. Seats are in good condition except fabric on drivers' seat is frayed through. Dash is perfect -- expect there's no radio. It was stolen. A hole remains. The car runs so well I feel nostalgic in dumping it. But it has too many things wrong with it and I found a cherry 1990.
