Vehicle Detail
Here is a nice, fun classic Triumph. It starts and runs good. It has been done up in a classic cafe racer style. It has the electronic ignition conversion. It is not matching numbers. The engine serial number indicates that it is from a 1965 bike. The bike is titled under the frame number, which is 1966. The bike is not perfect by any means. The paint is not done in the original style and does have some chips. As you can see from the pictures, the bike is not completely original is appearance, but it does have the look of a classic cafe racer. It has the classic Triumph sound and it gets lots of looks and comments. The speedometer is an original. It works but reads a little higher than actual speed. The drive gear is a new reproduction. The tach is a reproduction and works fine. The tires are Pirellis and in good condition. Brake shoes are nearly new. I think that the front drum could stand to be turned. It seems to be a little glazed and will not lock up the front tire on hard braking. The rear brake works great. Lights work and the electrical system is 12 volt. Like most old Triumphs it leaks a little oil. I do have a gasket kit that will go with it. As good as the engine runs, I hated to tear it apart. I also have some new rubbers for foot pegs etc. that will go with the bike. I have one original style muffler as well, if you want it. This is a fun bike. I hate to let it go, but my daughter needs a car. I'll entertain offers for a car in trade. Because of a potential trade, I reserve the right to cancel all bids and end the auction early. You can email me or call 402-710-8691 with any questions or to see the bike in person.
