Up for sale is my 1977 Datsun 280Z. I have owned this car for four years, two of which were spent rebuilding it. The car has always been garaged so it had almost no rust to begin with. I then proceeded to strip and rebuild it from ground up, a total 360 build up. Body: - Blasted, etched and painted Audi Red (originally Duck Yellow!) . The underside was coated with rust bullet and painted to match the car. The interior of the car was also painted and new sound deadening material applied. Pictures don’t do the car any justices; you just have to see it to appreciate it. Interior: -Mainly stock. The Dash has only one small crack as shown in the pictures. Drives seat is showing its age but not in bad shape (shown in pictures). New carpet installed. The rest is stock but again in very good condition. Engine: - Turbo engine from a 1983 280zx turbo with only 80K miles on it. Engine rebuild by local machine shop with new pistons, gaskets, seals, bolts, freeze plugs, etc… essentially it’s a new engine. Upgrades: I made my own fuel rail, 480CC injectors installed, Walbro 225 fuel pump, Megasquirt engine management, fuel tank resealed, Large Intercooler, and a lot more that am forgetting. Current boost is set to 6 PSI but the engine was build to run 15PSI very comfortably. Drivetrain: - 5 Speed T5 Borg Warner transmission(Rebuild). Beefy R200 Rear end (Rebuild). New Tokiko shocks and springs, new bushings, new brakes, new….almost everything This car was build to be a fun, fast summer day. The bad: · Tires have probably one more summer left in them... · The speedometer bounces around (faulty speedometer cable)...a new one can be purchased from dragon motorsports · AC was removed and heat doesn’t work. ( no need for AC or heat in upstate NY during summer) · The front bumper has a crack and scratches in it (shown in the pictures) Shipping: The buyer is to organize shipping and pay for all costs. The car is in pefect driving condition so you can fly in and drive it back home. Summary: - I dare not call it a show car because it was not build to be one.
