My family has gotten bigger and so I'm selling my 1985 Mercedes 300D turbo diesel. I love this car and I will miss it, but family comes first. I'm a country doctor in rural Alabama and work 2 miles away so the miles are accurate. The W123 chasis from Mercedes is considered by many to be one of the finest car lines Mercedes ever built and and considered "bullet proof" by some, but I still keep mine covered. I still see this car used as taxi cabs in many parts of the world. It would be a great car to convert to bio-diesel if you choose to. The motorized sunroof is huge and works great! No upholstery tears. There are only small cracks in the dash. Last year I installed a JVC CD player that plays MP3 files, has a remote control, and an iPod/iPhone connection built in. The original First Aid kit and owner's manual are included. I'll also include my digital Official Repair Manual. The AC has been blowing fuses lately but my mechanic (who used to work for Mercedes) says it still works. Parts for the AC (and for everything else) are very available. There is one ding in the passenger door and one spot of rust (see photographs). Otherwise the car is in great shape, and I'll be sad the day it leaves. (I bought the Volvo station wagon a year ago and have been dragging my feet. Now my wife says it's time for it to go.)
