Vehicle Detail
I can't believe I'm selling this car. Although having it(one of 4 Diesels), and not driving it much is worse! This car was made to be driven, and I am not doing her justice by having her sit around. She easily qualifies as a daily driver. I spent most of my off time last winter working on this baby, & have done most(95%) of what needed to be done to make it as it was when it was new(I love wrenching on these cars). I am the second owner. I purchased it from an elderly couple in Florida who did not drive it much over the years. They drove it sparingly, serviced it as scheduled, and then parked it in the garage. The ALL original paint is beautiful. There are no dents(few scratches) & the paint is very glossy. The interior MB tex is excellent(only the front drivers seat has a few small tears). The rubber & chrome are almost perfect except for a small dent below the trunk lid(see pics). She runs & shifts beautifully. I would not hesitate to drive her anywhere! Let me note what I have done. She has all new cooling hoses & thermostat. All new fluids & filters. New Glow plugs, injectors, return lines & fuses. New brake lines(all the soft lines in the engine compartment & at the wheels), & new brake pads all around. New transmission cooling lines. I also installed new flex discs. I did a diesel purge, a cooling system flush adjusted the valves & serviced the Diff. I replaced the front & rear window seals with OEM's & they are beautiful. I replaced the trunk seal(aftermarket) & will include the seals for all four doors(although not needed at this time). I rebult the vacuum pump. The trans was disassembled by my old world mechanic & all the seals replaced. Both the diff & trans are enjoying Mobil 1 & the engine has Rotella T. Now to what dosen't work. The AC blows warm air(needs to be replaced). The clock does not work. The radio(original), is just OK although I have replaced the original speakers(terrible) with infinitys. Everything else works fine(including the window washing foot pump-new diaphragm). There are no leaks except if the car sits for several days, then you will get a few drops from the main seal. I have tried to detail everything I know about this beauty. Any other questions, just ask! The reserve is not low as I have put many hours of my time into this baby. Whomever buys this car will be getting a 100% rust free beauty from yesteryear that will go another 20 or 30years! I would like this car to go to a good home. Pictures really do not do her justice. So if you are looking for the nicest 115 you will ever see, you just found it!!! GOOD LUCK BIDDING!! YOUR GOING TO LOVE THIS BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
