Up for auction is this 1997 Audi A6 wagon. I am selling the car for my uncle who is away for the month. He has owned the car for ------- and has kept up with services religiously. The car has a clean title and is ready to go. The timing belt and water pump were done this past February, Front and rear brakes were done in June, and it had both front axles and tie rods replaced two weeks ago. The timing belt is the most common cause of death for these cars due to the cost of repair. The transmission, engine, and 4WD work flawlessly and will last for many more miles. Poorly maintained examples of these cars can be a nightmare, but this one has had all its mechanical issues sorted out. On the cosmetic end however, the car is not so spectacular. It is primarily a family hauler and it shows. A basketball hoop fell on the hood, the Drivers rear quarter has a good scrape, the passenger fender has a big dent in it and both bumpers could use a respray (See Pics). The interior is in decent shape thought the front seats are worn. All the lights and switches work as they should, and it has an aftermarket CD player and speakers. The car is located in Danbury, CT and is available for show, test drives etc. This car is in great condition (cosmetics aside) and is ready to be driven anywhere. A $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auctions end and the balance is due within one week of the auctions end. Pick-up is due one week after the auctions end. I will not ship the car. First off he has owned the car for the past five years, not -------. The A/C works fine, and the car drives straight and does not leak any fluids. I am still in the process of getting all the service records and will continue to update. Thousands have been spent at Audi of Fairfield, CT but the invoices do not show details. The tires have 75% tread by my estimate. The car is ready to drive anywhere, it routinely made 7 hour trips to northern Vermont, the last one was two weeks ago. It was stored in a garage both by my uncle and the previous owner. The body isn't perfect but it is RUST FREE.
