There were very few of these trucks built and even fewer still on the road today. This was the first year built, 7.4 liter big block motor, only offered in black with red interior, 3.73 gearing, posi-trac, 2x4 shorty pickup. This particular truck is in fair shape, not a showroom queen, but a very solid truck and a lot for the money. It has some nice custom modifications, it runs out very strong, drives nice, and is priced very affordably for an SS. These trucks regularly bring obscene money in good condition and their value can only rise from what we're offering this guy for. exterior The truck looks pretty reasonable considering it's a 20 year old truck. It's not perfect but it still turns heads. The paint is decent, good gloss overall, clear is a bit thin on the roof and hood though. The rear end has been customized with the tail lamps filled/blocked out, and a custom 'vette' roll pan installed with the lighting. The tailgate handle has been shaved and re-routed to the interior of the bed. The truck may or may not have been lowered to some extent, I'm not an expert on these. The wheels are in good shape and tires are not fantastic. The lower front end is pitted, fog lamp broken, there's a crack in the paint by the door handle, road wear on the rockers, rear are has some cracks in the filler, bed liner is tired, and door jambs aren't show quality. It's just normal stuff, really probably just little things most people won't notice. interior The interior is actually darn nice for the age. It does show the low mileage, very little in/out wear on the seating and carpet. The door panels are a bit loose, just need tied up properly. The dash looks nice, no cracks that I can see. The upholstery is excellent! Carpet is good, headliner is a bit loose but not sagging much. The brake light is on and air doesn't blow cold. mechanical This truck runs quite strong. It has a ton of power, really a kick to drive, not difficult at all to just ROAST the tires. The transmission shifts nicely through all gears and feels solid. It drives pretty straight, tracks well, quite civilized and easy to drive. I can find no fault other than I'm sure it will need a bit of adjustment here and there like anything this old.
