Vehicle Detail

Please, if you do not plan on following through with the auction terms do not waste my time. Please read the entire car description carefully. This car will need work. Don’t assume anything. Ask if you have questions. Look closely at the pictures. Ask if you need more pictures. Don’t bid or buy and then start asking questions. If you are a new member or 0 feedback member contact me ahead of time before you do any bidding or I will cancel your bid and block you from bidding. I don’t have time to fool around with people that are unsure or playing games. If you are an international bidder contact me before bidding and explain your game plan for getting and paying for the car. I don't have a problem with International selling you just have to have a plan and be able to carry it out and US funds as payment that clear before car pickup. ************************1970 Dodge Charger R/T************************ This Charger is a true R/T with dashtag, fender tag and body stamps all matching the title. The drivers door tag was either removed or painted over at some time. The engine is a 1972 steel crank 440 (late 71 casting) and the transmission is a 1971 727. The differential is a 8.75 3:23 sure-grip 489 case that works well. This car runs and drives but I really don't consider it a driver. It is a project car that needs work. It all just depends on what you are looking for. This is a cool car that has a lot of potential but it also has rust. It is what it is. A real Charger R/T with cool options from the factory. I will start with the good points. The whole front clip is really solid and straight. Fenders and front valence are really nice. Hood is pretty good. The doors are pretty clean. The deck-lid is clean and straight. All the glass is pretty nice. The interior is pretty decent, seats, door panels, carpet etc. None of it is perfect but is decent for the age. The engine fires right up and runs good. The transmission works as it should but does leak some fluid. The car is virtually complete. It has the skid plate k-member. The engine compartment is clean. The AC looks complete and original. The car has disc brakes and power steering from the factory. The trim is all pretty nice except for the piece along the vinyl top on the passenger side at the quarter is bent and off the car but I do have it. The vertical windshield trim piece on the driver’s side is missing. The bumpers are pretty straight and solid. The front grille is nice. The lights and blinkers work. The headlight doors have to be opened manually. The tach works. The exhaust is older but decent. Has HP exhaust manifolds. Here is a short list of some of the neat options this car has. The fender tag shows the rest if you are able to decode that. N85- Tach V21- Performance Hood Treatment H51- Air Conditioning J45- Hood Pins L31- Signals Hood M25- Body Sill Mouldings AO1- Light Group B-51- Power Disc Brakes C21- Buddy Seat C55- Bucket Seats FE5- Red body color Some of the rough things about the car are as follows. Also note this car runs and drives but it needs a total restoration to be nice again. The paint is the original color but unprofessional and dull. The quarter panels have been patched at some point and are not very good. There is rust under areas of the vinyl top. Sort of heavy around the right side b-pillar and rear top trim at the tops of the quarters. The trunk has rust through that has been patched at some point and not very well. There are some soft areas in the floors. There was a frame patch done on the drivers side behind the k-frame at some point and would probably need to be redone in the future more professionally. It could have other areas as well that may need to be repaired. The dash pad has cracks. The headliner is shrunk in the corners around the rear window. Some of the dash lights and gauges don't work. There is no radio in the car. The Rallye wheels are 14” and the tires are old but do hold air. Shocks are old. Again, please ask if you have any questions. Ask any and all questions before placing a bid. This is an old car that has sat a long time and has just recently become drivable again. It has rust and it needs work. It's a great project Charger R/T or the ultimate Charger R/T parts car. I hate to see that done but that is up to you to decide. If there is something you need to see better just ask. I can get more pics. Please send your email when asking. This car is sold as is where is and no refunds after sale. A small PayPal deposit will be required within 24hrs of ending bid ($500) no exceptions and the balance due within 1 week and before car is picked up and must clear my bank before car leaves my possession. Have funds ready to pay if you bid on this car. US funds only. Serious bidders only please. No fooling around please. If you are unsure don't bid. Ask questions!!! Shipping costs will be the responsibility of the purchaser. Car needs to be picked up within 2 weeks of auction end unless we work something out in advance. Title is clear, in hand, and in my name. Thanks for looking! Call if serious 248-808-4007 9am-10pm EST.
