1998 Honda Civic LX Sedan 4-Door 5-Speed Manual Transmission - One Owner, Private Seller History: This is a 1998 Honda Civic LX with manual transmission in great running condition. It recently had new brakes/rotors and a new muffle installed. It also had a new oxygen sensor installed, and passed its State of Illinois Vehicle Emissions testing in June 2010. The car was originally bought new directly from the Honda dealership, and its 15K, 30K, and 60K service were all completed by the dealer. As noted, the front brakes and rotors have recently been replaced along with its muffler assembly and gasket. In addition, its oxygen sensor has been replaced and it recently passed the State of Illinois's annual vehicle emissions testing in June 2010. It has power steering, windows, locks, brakes. The A/C works great. Radio, speakers, all interior lights, and headlights are in good condition. The vehicle has received oil changes on a regular basis. Its exterior frame has several small dings and rust spots (see photos). The front bumper has several scratches and scrapes (due to city street parking) and the back bumper shows signs of chipped paint. Its interior shows signs of wear, especially the driver and passenger side floors. Also, the front wind shield has a double scratch (following the arc of the windshield wiper) on the driver side, and a small "star" crack on the exterior side in the center (see photos). This "star" crack has been there for years, does not run very deep into the windshield, and has never showed signs of growing any larger. We have listed the vehicle with a starting price at the lower end of Kelley Blue Book trade-in value. Shipping and Payment: Winning bidder must contact us within 48 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for pick-up and payment at that time. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit through Paypal is due within 48 hours of end of auction. The remainder balance of the winning bid is due via cash or cashier's check/money order within 7 days of auction's end. If no contact is made within 48 hours and/or no deposit is received, we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Most banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles older than 1995 or with more than 100K miles. Make sure if financing that your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before bidding. Please arrange financing prior to bidding.
