This is a 1955 (Series 2) Chevrolet 3100 1/2 ton short bed step side pickup truck with a straight 6 cylinder engine and three speed manual transmission. This is a 2 wheel drive truck. This vehicle was purchased by me and my son a couple years ago as a potential parts donor vehicle for a 1957 Chev PU we were working on at the time. We ended up not needing anything from this vehicle so have decided to pass it onto someone looking for a vehicel to restore or looking for a donor truck for another project. I bought the vehicle from a young man that had planned to restore it before he got married, had a baby and then knew he would never finish it. He had bought the alloy rims and 5 new tires for the vehicle and had the engine running prior to parking it. This is definitely a rough restoration vehicle as it has set outside too long before I got it and stored it inside. This is a series two vehicle. For those that do not know what that means I'll explain. In 1955 Chevrolet intended to come out with an entirely new pickup but it was not ready at the usual model year time so they sold 1954s with a few changes and called them 1955 (Series 1) trucks until the new ones were ready. Then when the new model with a V8 option and lots of other changes was ready they released it and called it the 1955 (series 2). As a result, only half as many of each were produced in 1955 making them more rare than 1954s or 1956s. This vehicle has a clear Texas title. The frame is very good and a good restoration starting point. No known modifications have been made so it can be restored without any issues that I am aware of. I removed the hood to get at the engine and also removed the radiator but then did not need it so they are in the truck bed. There are two Mustang (I think) bucket seats included to use or use as trading material. The gas tank in also in the truck bed along with several misc parts and pieces. There is no reserve as I need to get this out of my garage so I am starting it low and will deliver within 100 miles at no cost. I can deliver further away at $1 a mile. I am willing to negotiate delivery costs depending on the bidding process. I request a $500 non-refundable deposit via paypal (unless other arrangements are made in advance) by the winning bidder since I have to pay Ebay regardless if you back out. So ask first before bidding if you have questions. The balance and any delivery charges can be negotiated and agreed upon before I deliver the vehicle.
